The CWNP program is a vendor neutral wi-fi training certification track for Wireless (WiFi) professionals. The training material is based on the IEEE 802.11 standard and related updates IEEE 802.11-2007, IEEE 802.11-2012 and covers multiple aspects from different certification domains:

CWTSCWTS (Certified Wireless Technology Specialist)
Two (2) Days instructor led course covering basics of wireless. Target audience: Sales, Pre-sales of wireless technologies.

 

CWNACWNA (Certified Wireless Network Administrator)
Five (5) Days instructor led course. Advanced. Target audience: Technical IT (wired / wireless) professionals to understand in more depth:  Radio Frequency (RF), Mathematics if the link is going to work, WiFi Standards, Spectrum analysis, Reconnaisance, Protocol analysis, Site-Surveying, Basic Design, Basic Analysis, Basic Security. Many vendor neutral tools and hands-on labs are included to better understand how wireless works.

CWSPCWSP (Certified Wireless Security Professional)
Three (3) Days instructor led course. Advanced. Prerequisite: either attended a CWNA course or passed the CWNA exam. You will learn in depth how to secure wireless networks, enforce security policies and monitoring, Enterprise wide security for the wireless infrastructure, authentication, authorization, accounting, encryption. WID/PS - Wireless Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems to monitor and mitigate security risks for any WiFi network. Note: to get the CWSP certification you need to be certified in both CWNA + CWSP.

CWAPCWAP (Certified Wireless Analysis Professional)
Three (3) Days instructor led course. Advanced. Prerequisite: either attended a CWNA course or passed the CWNA exam. CWAP will cover in-depth analysis of Wireless networks, from a Spectrum Analysis, Protocol Analysis domain, but also from a design, security aspect and for small and large wireless networks. Note: to get the CWAP certification you need to be certified in both CWNA + CWAP.

CWDPCWDP (Certified Wireless Design Professional)
Three (3) Days instructor led course. Advanced. Prerequisite: either attended a CWNA course or passed the CWNA exam. CWDP will cover in-depth the architectural designs for small, medium and large networks. These networks need to be ready to have enough capacity to handle the load of multiple wireless LAN devices securely. Note: to get the CWDP certification you need to be certified in both CWNA + CWDP.

CWNECWNE (Certified Wireless Network Expert)
